Sinosteel Zhengzhou Research Institute of Steel Wire Products Co., LTD began to build in 1973 and was restructured in 1999 to be scientific and technological enterprise, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinosteel Corporation, mainly engaging in research and development of new technique, new technology, new material, new equipment and new product of steel wire and steel wire products. we have more than 400 junior and senior engineers.
National Quality Supervision and Examination Center of Steel Wire is established at the institute, which is a technical inspection agency established with the approval of State Administration for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine, and inspects 1087 parameters,984varieties of product under 12 categories.
The Productivity Promotion Center of Metallurgical Steel Wire Products Industry is also set up in the institute.
The institute is the head unit of national metal products information network, sponsoring the magazine “Metal Product”, a state-level emprise technical journal, and it also is the member unit of the Academic Committee of Metal Products of Chinese Metals Society,
In recent years, the institute, resting on the particular qualified personnel and technical superiority has increasingly upgraded the scale so that its product covers various spring steel wires, welding wires, profile wires, cold heading wires, stainless steel wires and wire ropes, production equipment of welding wire, production equipment of wire drawing and industrial automation control systems.
The national “863” project, oil quenching-tempering spring steel wire for high stress valve spring, has been industrialized, and the oil-tempered spring steel wire for suspension spring has won the title of National Key and New Product, the products covering such fields as aero-space, railway, machinery, auto, metallurgy and building. Moving to Zhengzhou High-tech Industries Development Zone in September, 2006, the institute has been stepping up to reallocate resources with great efforts and highlight the comprehensive advantages, striving to build up a development and industry base of new material of high-end metal products in the country soon.
